Good questions, straight answers.
What is Master Vault?
Master Vault is an Australian marketplace and app for collectors of trading cards, graded slabs and Funko Pops. Scan your collection for a market guide price in Australian dollars, list it straight from your vault, sell it in a live show, and buy with your money held while the item is on its way.
Can I buy and sell anywhere in Australia?
Yes. Master Vault is built for collectors right across Australia. Prices and postage are in Australian dollars, so there are no exchange rates, no international postage and no customs. You can also find sellers and events near you and pick up in person.
How does escrow keep my money safe?
When you buy, you pay Master Vault, not the seller. The money is held while the seller posts the item or hands it over in person. The seller is paid when the buyer confirms it arrived, 48 hours after it is delivered, or 14 days after posting if nothing has been raised. If anything is wrong, you raise it in the app before then.
What does it cost to sell?
A 4% commission plus card processing of 2.9% + A$0.30, or 3.85% + A$0.33 when the buyer pays with a bank card from outside Australia. A A$100 item paid for with an Australian bank card leaves you A$92.80. No listing fee and no monthly fee on the free plan. Buyers pay no service fee. The seller sets the postage, and Master Vault adds nothing to it.
What can the scanner price?
Trading cards, including graded slabs, and Funko Pops. Photograph a single card or a whole shelf of Pops and each one is found in the catalogue with a market guide price in Australian dollars. Guide prices are repriced every day. They are a market guide, not a valuation, and they change.
How do live shows work?
Sellers go live from a phone or run the show from a desk, put up one lot at a time and start the clock. Buyers bid in real time, and each lot says what a late bid does. Buyers can also place pre bids and watch in a browser without the app.
Can I buy locally and pick up in person?
Yes. The map shows sellers by suburb, never by street. You can block anyone or turn direct messages off, so you choose who can reach you. Meet somewhere public, and at the handover the seller scans the buyer's code before the payment is released. Keep your code until you have the item.
When can I get the app?
Master Vault is on Google Play and the App Store.
